#imperfect: When street style meets free style

Dance like no one is watching. An nearly over-excessively used yet powerful quote which has a deep meaning for me. Since I was a little kid there was nothing more I wanted to do than to dance. And so I did. Ballet, contemporary dance, jazz, hip hop – you name it, I did it. What I loved the most about dancing was not only the fusion of music and body movement but also that it was probably the most freeing thing I ever did.

Style is something you are born with. Another quote, another truth? Not necessarily! I believe style can be taught to some extent. What street style and dancing have in common though is the thought of freedom. However you feel like, whoever you want to be that day: you are free to express it with your style.

So it’s obvious what I am aiming at: Style and dancing are more similar than one might think. Both are not perfect, nor are they meant to be perfect, but perfectly individualistic and perfectly freeing. Even better that ESPRIT transports this lovely idea with their new Spring 2016 collection I am wearing in the pictures – maybe an incitement for you guys to get yourself some ESPRIT gear and dance in your street style like no one is watching? Burns calories and is good for your mood. What more do you want on still grey and rainy days like these?

Look: Under business construction

Easiest business-like yet fashionable outfit? Throw on your usual uniform – in my case: black boots and black (leather) pants, hat – and upgrade everything with a statement coat and a fancy bag. Easy as business should be. In my case this attention seeking By Malene Birger coat and Hugo Boss’ classic Bespoke Bag grant this outfit the point. And obviously the quality pictures by Eyecandy Berlin. Lucky you can see more of these after the jump!
